Pediatric Occupational Therapy Is My Calling!

I’m a licensed pediatric Occupational Therapist with over 23 years of experience working with children. of all ages. I have a strong passion for sharing my knowledge of child development so parents and professionals can understand children’s cues and have a more peaceful, enjoyable time together.

When we know better, we do better!

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT in 2000. I hold certifications for infant massage and SIPT (Sensory Integration and Praxis Test). I am trained in the SOS approach to feeding, Therapeutic Listening, and Handwriting without Tears handwriting program. I have worked in many settings including schools, hospital, NICU, outpatient, Early Intervention, and telehealth. I am licensed in the states of Colorado, South Carolina, and Georgia. I created Growing Little Brains because I’m passionate about all things early childhood, parent coaching, and mentoring other professionals to feel confident in their practice.

My most important job is being a mom to 2 young, active boys.

My love for working with children started at any early age (I decided to become an OT when I was 14!). My passion for serving other therapists grew after becoming a Fieldwork Educator and later an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and adjunt professor for an Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Around the same time, I was able to experience Early Intervention as a parent after my first son was born premature.

As an Occupational Therapist, I help children with their occupation of play.  Play is how they learn to get along with others, move, talk, and build their attention so they can learn new things.  I’ve taught thousands of families and caregivers strategies to help their children sleep, eat, play, move, write, and learn.

I get how hard it is to parent these days.  I live it with my own 2 boys everyday. There is so much information out there and I get how overwhelming that can be.

My hope is that Growing Little Brains will be your reliable source for child development information so you can understand your child’s brain and learn ways to help them grow.

We ALL Need Community!

Mentorship is critical in Early Intervention. I’m passionate about helping new EI OTPs to feel confident in their practice right from the start. Join the 6-week Early Intervention Bootcamp program and elevate your EI practice!

Therapy Village - a place where occupational therapists can grow together and have community

I'm also on a mission to create a community of therapists who are passionate about serving families with young children.

To create EI practitioners who feel confident in their skills, supported in their practice, and up to date on the latest research about development and intervention in the field of early childhood.

I’m excited you’re here.

Let’s connect and see how I can support you on your journey.
