30+ Fun OT Teletherapy Activities for June
Need to save time planning your June OT teletherapy sessions? While many of you will be finishing up the school year soon, I know some might be working this summer in Early Intervention or at a summer program.
Either way, I’ve got you covered with lots of fun OT teletherapy-friendly activities for June. Some of the themes include Father’s Day, camping, fishing, and the end of the school year!

OT Teletherapy Activities for June
Camping themed books
Fun activity idea: Read the book and then play a memory game. How many words can your student remember? Have them write them down after the story to sneak in some writing practice!

Going on a bear hunt is one of my all-time favorite books. Make sure to act out the movements while reading and follow up with some other great activities listed below.
Camping Songs and fingerplays
A great way to warm up those fingers before some writing practice!

Build a marshmallow/toothpick sculpture

Gross Motor Teletherapy Ideas
Celebrate the last day of therapy with an indoor or outdoor field day
Some ideas could include: sock toss into a laundry basket, freeze dance, animal walks, pillowcase sack race, a tug-of-war with towel/jump rope, or some of these gross motor minute to win it games.
Going on a bear hunt obstacle course: Use stuffed animals and hide them around the room. You can use different floor surfaces to indicate grass/mud/river. Use the fan to make “Wind”. Go under the table or chair as the “cave”. Walk on pillows (stairs), use a small step stool or actual stairs in the home.

Summer Ideas for Therapy + FREE printable
While I do provide individualized activities for my school-aged children to work on over the summer break, I try to make sure these skills can be worked on in a fun and functional way.
Since our students have been exposed to more screen time this year, I’m also encouraging all families to get outside and play as much as they can this summer.

And remember…you don’t always need to have something new and creative every session.
Children’s brains thrive on repetition…so if something went well in a previous session, repeat it and just add a small, new challenge to it.
